Why I Serve on the Apparent Plan Board
As retired clergy, I have observed numerous times the difficulties individuals can encounter as they age. ApparentPlan’s mission is to provide health programs and advocacy services to help adults reach their goal of aging with dignity and independence. I serve on the board because I strongly believe in this mission. I personally know the benefits from both the nutrition and tai chi programs. As an advocacy organization, our director has a profound commitment to coming alongside older adults who are struggling and helping helping them navigate state and federal benefit programs like Medicare as well as connecting adults with the right services, and being someone who will listen and act on their behalf. I have seen lives transformed because of ApparentPlan. Helping people move from despair to hope is what makes this an exciting organization to be a part of!
