ApparentPlan Receives $3,000 Matching Grant

Tracy Keibler

ApparentPlan has received a $3,000 matching grant for it's Aging is Not for Sissies bike ride.  The generous donation from the Minneapolis Foundation kick starts the organization's three-week fundraising efforts which begin with a 435 mile bike ride across Iowa.  The director, Tracy Keibler, was one of 2,700 riders to complete that ride in 1975 on a ride known as RAGBRAI III.  This year's ride is the 42nd time that ride has happened making it the longest running and largest event of its kind in the world.  Unfortunately, the 30,000 riders are not all participating in ApparentPlan's fundraising efforts, however, Keibler is riding with a group of about ten riders in this years event.  Blog posts will be updated along the way so that you can follow along in the adventure.
